The Izki Charity Team is one of the charitable organizations operating under the umbrella of the Social Development Committee of the Governor's Office, similar to other official charitable organizations across the Sultanate. It was officially recognized by the Ministry of Social Development in 2016. The Izki Charity Team serves the entire state through its branches in remote villages and towns. The team employs modern, standardized, and scientific methods, based on principles and regulations established by the Ministry of Social Development, to support and assist needy families, complementing the government's efforts to support this segment of the population. The team's work has expanded to include other social initiatives, such as distributing funds to those in need, building and maintaining social housing, providing in-kind assistance, and offering back-to-school aid like school supplies. During holidays, the team provides Eid clothing and sacrificial animals, and sponsors orphans, providing for their needs. The team has also been present in response to government appeals during the pandemics that have affected the Sultanate, offering support to those who have lost their jobs and those burdened with debt, and assisting productive families. The team relies on monetary and in-kind donations from individuals and private institutions for its income. There is ongoing cooperation between the team and other charitable associations, institutions, and groups throughout the Sultanate.
